The Deacon Projects
on the second Saturday morning of the month
and other times as well

Among the variety of responsibilities that deacons have, they have the task of facility management. Saturday morning is a good time to meet to do such ministry.

Deacons (along with anyone with a heart to serve) gather at the Saturday morning men's breakfast (every second Tuesday of the month). They first fill their bellies with good old fashioned home-style cooking and then go work it off in various projects around the church.

Dave McClellan is the master chef who provides the energy and calories to burn.

Atlee Hitchcock is the president of the Deacon Board who oversees the task list.

Joe Hewlett is the chairman of the facilities committee within the deacon board. Visit the deacons page to see the rest of the facilities committee.

Shawn Smith is the email correspondent for these gatherings. Email him to get on the contact list. ssmit@sbcglobal.net

"Helping Hands" / Mercy Ministry

Deacon projects could also be understood as projects that assist members of our church. This ministry is called "helping hands". George Judd is the chair of this deacon committee.

This is a vital part of the deacon ministry. It is also considered a sub-division of Mercy Ministry.
